No bad color on a good dog… plenty of good colors on bad dogs. Be color blind and discover the BEST dog.
CHIC #149941 (excellent hips) GRCH Lilac Haze Bendrix BCAT, sire of 38 offspring (so far) with OFA GOOD or better hips.
Four GRCH sons, both with GOOD hips; GRCH Peerless Hannibal at the Gates is PennHip rated .28/.30 making those the tightest hips for a French Bulldog in the OFA database.
15 Champion Offspring
This breed is more than a headpiece. Functional conformation is critical.
$5,000
We offer Frozen Only.
New contract coming soon. FROZEN ONLY.
There's more to Benny than meets the eye. While the color is beautiful, there is a great dog behind the amber eyes. Not only does he have proven structure and conformation in the show ring (as do his Champion and Grand Champion offspring Ch. Crowd Pleazer's Firecracker GiGi and GrCh. Peerless Hannibal at the Gates), but most importantly he's extensively health tested with multiple OFA certifications that include an extremely RARE rating of EXCELLENT Hips.
To put that in context, there are only 96 French Bulldogs in the 23-year history of OFA testing* that have ever received that hip rating, and only 15 male French Bulldogs under age 5.
OFA Certifications for Lilac Haze Bendrix: CHIC #149941
Benny is one of only 1008 French Bulldogs to have a CHIC Certification. Of those FBDs, only 29 male FBDs (2.8%) have ever been CHIC certified with the EXCELLENT rating in over 23 years of testing.
There is no one else quite like him - he's tested, he's proven as a Grand Champion in the ring, his offspring are now Champions/Grand Champions AND he's capable of producing a rainbow of colors. #SayYesToFadColors
* As of 7 May 2022, the OFA databse lists 2,626 entries for public viwing hip evaluations (OFA or PennHip).
Everyone says they want healthy, but you deserve more than just good intentions (#PlausibleDeniabilty). How many times have you heard "well, I know my lines and we've never had problems" or "the parents were health tested" but they never show you the tests and if you dig a little, turns out there hasn't been a health test in 3+ generations. Don't accept less! A legitimate, SERIOUS breeder will take that extra step to provide you with test results and if they haven't done them, consider swiping left.
If you want a stud with comprehensive DNA screening, Benny's jumped through those hoops and is clear of 180+ genetic diseases. He's OFA CHIC Certified with an extremely rare EXCELLENT rating for hips; OFA heart, elbows and knees and trachea. He's also Cystinuria 3 Clear!
Note: Cystinuria 3 is not the same as Cystinuria 1 & 2... it requires an extra test through VetGen, PennGen, or Canine Health Check. This is the disease that causes kidney stones in intact males and they must be neutered along with a lifetime of care and/or surgeries. It's a big deal! Very few studs have been tested and even fewer are clear, like Benny.
DNA Color Panel: ay/a co/co d/d Em/E ky/ky Sp/Sp In/I As/As
Benny's an "ay/a" Cocoa Lilac French Bulldog Stud, so those pups are going to be cocoa chocolate and blue carriers no matter what. He's also got that highly desirable "a" gene, the genetic "wildcard" that allows the tan "at" gene to play through if it's on your female's agouti panel. That's right - you can breed a female with "ay/at" or "at/at" to Benny and there's a 25% to 50% chance that the tan will possibly pass through to the pups.
The "a" gene also allows for some pretty amazing patterns, especially when combined with Intensity gene (In) modifier, which Benny also carries. If you look at him, you can see that he has "tan" cheeks or "points", which is thought to be related to the "a" gene though it is still not fully mapped.
Domino, Urajiro & Blanket Pied
A couple of other fun things: Benny carries the gene for the Domino pattern responsible for the "widow's peak", newly discovered by collaboration with research lab VetGen using Benny and his daughter, Crowd Pleazer's Icy Annie. Benny has also produced the Urajiro pattern, which is called "under shading" or "counter shading" as well as the unique Pied pattern called "blanket", where the majority of the dog is colored and the white pied pattern is limited to between 20%-40%. The gene responsible for this pattern is still unknown, but we definitely know that Benny has some tricks up his Pied sleeves!
We believe in contracts. If you don't, probably not a good fit. This is for both us and you. It's a good thing.
We honor a 3 pup live guarantee. After all, as a breeder you've put a lot into this and we want you to be successful too. It's no small thing to be the owner of a Dam and we respect what you're going through. We are here for you. Take a look at our reviews and ask for a list of references.
"In the French Bulldog there is a ton of focus on the head. But the head alone does not complete the dog. “Muscular dog with heavy bone” is a very important piece that I feel gets forgotten. “Hind legs are strong and muscular”. I would say 70% of French bulldogs I see lack a strong muscular rear. If a dog lacks under jaw and turn up it can still eat, but if a dog lacks rear there is a great chance it changes the way it moves." -Judge Chris White Oct 7, 2020
Vinnie (Benny x Abby)
Benny's structure isn't just a guess. He's been evaluated by trained eyes and named a Grand Champion, tested under multiple judges in the show ring; he's not just a static photo on a social media post. He has been judged while MOVING and gone over for faults and flaws that you just can't see in just a photo or video. Hands have been placed on him, including in his mouth to test for bite (he's reverse scissor like he should be) and he's been intimately inspected (ahem) down under. He has been eyeballed by friends and foes and he has his share of fans. as well as those who are not... usually his competition. Let's face it: showing can be a bit political and not everyone is happy when a new face arrives out of nowhere.
Not EXTREME: Would this dog substitute as a coffee table if said table was made out of a French Bulldog? Uh... that would be a solid NO. His elbows are NOT displayed (that's actually a documented fact with OFA), so you'll never see this boy spread out wide looking like a different species with emojis of primates next to him. He looks like a Frenchie, not a mix. He's kinda-sorta-proportionate, meaning he's about as tall as he is long (12.5" ground to shoulder and 12.5" shoulder to beginning of tail). Roach back: check! Stacks up nicely when he actually stands still (he's a flamenco dancer at heart... remember that always).
He weighs 27.3 lbs. on an official scale. So is he at the top of FBDCA standard for weight? Yes. But he's within standard and he is counting his macros. His feet are catlike TIGHT and his shoulder angle is GREAT. You can visually see the slight dip after his shoulder blades along his spine as it goes up to his roach back.
Is he thick? That would be a strong yes. He's heavily muscled and when he go to the ABKC shows the bully breeders stop to tell us how much they love him. He just LOOKS like a dog of substance and if you make eye contact he'll be the first to tell you that he's fabulous as he gives you Frenchie kisses.
His head looks like it belongs on his shoulders and is often referred to by the show community as "That Headpiece". It measures 22.5". And we already know what's on the inside of those rare OFA rated Excellent Hips... and Benny's don't lie. His babies are inheriting his engine with plenty of junk in the trunk.
So no... he's more than just a pretty face. He's masculine. He's Metro-French-ual. Some go so far as to say he's Vintage. And for a limited time, Benny is Open for Stud Service to Approved Health Tested ladies!

If you're a breeder who's serious about carefully planning an amazing litter, Benny's pedigree has some serious players, which explains a lot of what is behind this quality French Bulldog Stud. Most of Benny's lines are full of Hungarian and American champion lines, with a heavy saturation of Von Der Monarchia, Du Champagne, Belboulecon, Super Bully, Smokey Valley, Tisza-Parte, Gold Sierra, Pelshire and Glenlee. Several key foundation dogs are represented top and bottom giving the "engine" the power to "bring forward" all the right players.
Who Were These Dogs? If you don't immediately recognize them that could be in part because the main players in his pedigree are NOT from the "Fad Color" breeding that started with the popularity of the Blues. In fact, the Blue that is in his pedigree is a minor chapter in the Color world, but it was enough to bring forward two copies of dilute (d/d). A careful analysis reveals a heavier focus on chocolates imported from Hungarian kennels, such as Von Der Monarchia, Du Champagne and Super Bully, who used Champion show dogs (Smokey Valley's Hoop Shot, Belboulecan Du Champagne Mondo, and Pelshire's Picasso Picco) to bring forward tan, blue and what was then "untestable" chocolate (now known as Cocoa co/co).
Benny's sire, Star Il Dago Ungherese was visibly chocolate and carried a copy of blue, which is why he was used to chase after Chocolate and "Lilac" in the day, siring several well-known, compact lilacs with exceptional bone and prominent headpiece. One of the original foundation sires of Bastile-Ore, Star produced several notable offspring that included flashy blues lilacs and chocolate tans along with some very interesting color patterns like "reverse sable". You can read more about his unique history HERE.
Scroll through the photo gallery and you'll get a sense of which dogs are major players in this pedigree, some making up to 11 appearances each, such as International champion Smokey Valley's Hoop Shot. If you think about that, it's even more impressive because that dog was born decades ago, which is like an eternity in dog years. We've provided links and photos to help out with the history, as many of these dogs were not campaigned as "Fad Color" and had successful careers in the ring as well as contributing to the beautiful color world of French Bulldogs. In fact, a few of the programs mentioned are actually strong advocates against color breeding and are not pleased that Benny's pedigree effectively joins many of these key champions together, normally reserved for the pedigrees of the "preservationist" clubs, with genetic "Fad Color". If you look closely, You will see a strong collaboration between Belboulecan, Smokey Valley, Du Champagne, Gold Sierra, Super Bully and Glenlee as they imported and shared their lines together in the 70s, 80, 90, etc.

Hollylanes No Regrets, a black and tan whelped 11/22/1991; sired by famous Ch. PLAYER EDWARDPUCK, great granddam to Intch. Belboulecan Du Champagne Mondo. Keep in mind that this color was already in the top show programs in the United States BEFORE the "No Fad Colors" campaign started in 2011.
Produced by Holly Foster. After No Regrets was born, her breeder tried multiple times to reproduce th
Affabull's King of Diamonds (Bis. AM CH 1996 USA. # 1 FRENCH BULLDOG). Sire of Belboulecan Du Champagne Mondo. His great grand dam is the granddam of Hollylane's No Regrets.Ch.
Intch. Belboulecan Du Champagne Mondo, a prolific sire behind quality French Bulldogs of color. "Mondo" is described by top ABKC judges to be largely behind the structure and health of these dogs.
" Ch. Pelshires Sonlit Mario. Mario was a big, mushy sweet laid back boy with a gorgeous headpiece, big black eyes and stunning conformation. He had a patch over one eye and on his little rumpkus but was white as snow otherwise. Pat (Mentiply of Pelshire's Kennel) bred Mario and from that came a bitch (Marilyn's Reno). Pat also bred English import Tikka (a.k.a Ch. Allstone Douglas) to American Ch. Lebo's Pollyanna). Down the road a couple years, the Tikka grand daughter (Excel's Pelshire in Excess) was bred to a Cox/Delaparure dog (Miss B'S Stormcrest Chivas R ) . The final product was a most handsome brindle boy with Pat's kennel name on it (assumption: Pat's dog) which was then exported to Europe. His name was Ch. Pelshires Picasso and he is behind many of the top winners and producers throughout Europe...and by way of being imported back to the USA, now many American and Canadian winners as well. He is behind the red fawn pied European grand champion winner, Ch. Super Bulli Monarchia-Mirabeau, from where these clear red fawns and red fawn pieds with black masking have in no small part, emerged. "
"Fast forward a few years; a fellow breeder here in Minnesota suddenly discovered a black and tan bitch in her litter of purebred French Bulldogs. There was no accounting for where this color pattern emerged from but many speculated she was crossbred. She was not but she was from such respectable bloodlines it was hard to account for her illicit color.
This top producing bitch is behind the brindle American BIS. Winner Ch. Affabulls King of Diamonds. Still, she was of good type, beautiful in color and her owner bred her several times. The color was never reproduced even in subsequent linebreedings...which many legitimate breeders held a keen interest in. Yet, her color made its way into the pedigrees of Frenchies worldwide through a dog exported by Belboulecan Kennel in Canada to Europe, named Ch. Belboulecan Du Champagne Mondo. Mondo, was a BM fawn gr. grandson of the brindle pied Hollylane bitch (Ch.Sunoak Sunspot) that was also granddam (2x) to the black and tan (Hollylane's No Regrets)
" So, let's put this all together in a way that makes sense...the combination of Tikka and Mario was a stroke of brilliance on Pat's part (I assume) because it created a virtual inbreeding on the dogs behind Tommyville (very famous Kennel in England owned by Maureen Bootle, winner of 28 Best in Show at Crufts), which of course, were actually Grimmelsburg, just as they are behind DeLaParure. The top winning kennels worldwide appear to have all emerged from the same basic kennel in Germany with some additions here and there. However, with the same stroke that the du Shepherd, Sopianae Imperator and Super Bulli bloodlines of Europe were created, the so called "rare colors" were unleashed simultaneously."
" Blue Moon, meanwhile was doing in OZ what, apparently, Picasso and Mondo had been doing in Europe. Improving breed type. These were quality dogs of quality breeding - and ours at least, Pats and mine, were health tested breeding stock. The notoriously shy black and tan coat pattern disappeared into the American woodwork only to reappear in the hands of European dog profiteers (puppy millers) later, who seemed to make the color pattern magically appear at will.
Keep in mind that the champion dogs I've described were superb specimens from top bloodlines whose progeny fell into nefarious hands... As with all products that are salable, profiteers seek a 'hook' to snag buyers with and having found it in so called 'rare colors', have pimped it to the max. Let me tell you, the dilute colors were not rare. They were HIDDEN. Hidden by breeders who were ashamed of admitting they occurred in their own breeding programs." - Carol Hawke, AKC Judge and founder of Sonlit Kennel

Benny drinks whiskey in case you're wondering. Sometimes more than his handlers would like to admit. This is how he ends up in large trees, after all.
Looking past that... well... he's balanced. We like it. People who know better, such as actual judges who see him in person like what they see. It's really up to you to decide. If you're looking for structure, health AND color, this lilac pied french bulldog stud can deliver. #Solid #WaitHe'sPiedNotSolid
Ask us to send you videos so that you can see that he's not altered by some kind of Kardashian filter. I mean, who has time for that? Besides, Benny is busy checking the stock market most afternoons anyway.
And most importantly, why in the world would you spend this kind of money without asking? I mean... trust, but hello... verify? That's 100% free, BTW. #YouShouldTotallyAsk
When it comes to Instagram uploads, Benny is pretty lame (he's got T-Rex arms). Word on the street is that he tried the Valencia once and sadly, had a very, very bad reaction.
He's over that and tries to put it in his past. #MovingOn #NeverHappend #Natural
